Description
Looking somewhat like the Fitz Roy of Europe from certain angles along with its surrounding peaks, Monte Pelmo is one of the primary peaks of the Dolomites, said to be the first of the highest mountains in the region to be climbed. It has previously been nicknamed as 'God's Armchair' due to its shape. West of the summit lies Pelmetto ('Little Pelmo'), at 2,990m.
