Description
The most famous mountain in Iceland, Kirkjufell sits on the west coast of Iceland, towards Greenland. Whilst it may not be large in elevation terms, its visual appeal is clear. It is highly accessible and can be climbed in a few hours from Grundarfjörður from the south. For those staying in Reykjavik, it can be reached in just over two hours by car, and therefore is an easy day trip from the capital.
